If you want to set a specific due or complete date for a lesson, you can use the "set date" feature. The start and due date can be set for the entire class, or for individual students. When an assignment is past the due date, students will not be able to access the lesson.
Set start and due date
STEP 1: Select a class, and then click on the "Assignments" tab.
STEP 2: Click on the "Set Date" menu.
STEP 3: Check the lesson(s) you would like to schedule a lock date for.
STEP 4: Select the lessons start date (when you want lessons to be available for students)
STEP 5: Select to apply this to your entire class or individual students.
(Optional) STEP 6: Select a due date (locking the lesson from students)

Hovering over the icon displays the lock start date and due date if one is set.
Setting the due date for individual students
After specifying a start and due date, select “Individual students”
A list of the students in that class will appear. Select the students you would like the apply this start and due date to.
